My Juicer and Your Spiritual Path

I had a wonderful coaching call today with a client whom I am coaching toward her innate role as a spiritual teacher. She is already a fabulous and powerful healer. The thing we talked about today is how easily she finds what to do on her spiritual path. How simple her practice is.

She doesn’t like to sit to meditate, doesn’t want to spend time that way and so she pays attention when she breathes. That’s meditation for her. She is committed to being present and aware in her life, to remain centered, grounded and conscious for herself and her clients. And she’s committed to doing it the easy way.

Which brings me to my juicer. Yes, my juicer.  My husband and I like to make fresh juice and we know all about the health benefits of juicing.  So a number of years ago we went from a really cheap, hard-to-operate juicer, to a mega-expensive, top shelf GreenStar juicer. Now the GreenStar is one of the most highly-rated juicers out there which is why we bought it. Extract more juice, less oxidation, more nutrition, etc., etc. But, this thing was such a pain to clean and took so long to put back together that we just stopped using it. I finally sold it.

Then I thought “but we really like to juice” so I went and got an inexpensive George Forman Juicer. It works fine, makes great juice, is a snap to clean and takes seconds to re-assemble after cleaning.  And so now we’re juicing a lot again. The path of ease, you see?

This is the kind of path you want for your spiritual practice. You want a path that doesn’t really take discipline because it’s a good fit for who you really are and you don’t have to ‘should’ yourself, or push and prod yourself to practice. The things you choose because they fit you well and open the space for joy and peace are the ones you will continue to use. The hard, got-a-lot-of-resistance-to-this-even-though-I-know-it’s-good-for-me things are going to fall by the wayside, and they ought to because they’re not a vibrational match for you.

So if you are wanting to make a regular spiritual practice part of your life, find what fits and what feels good, and doesn’t require pressuring yourself–and then have a lovely time flowing with it. My client will probably be teaching a class about this topic soon because she’s a natural at finding the path of ease… and because I won’t rest until she claims her role as a spiritual teacher!

Love you!!
