 A Good Reason To Have A Spiritual Coach

 “In studying books we are sometimes deluded into thinking that thereby we are being spiritually helped; but , if we analyze the effects of the study of books on ourselves, we shall find that at the utmost, it is only our intellect that derives profit from such studies, and not our inner spirit.  This inadequacy of books to quicken spiritual growth is the reason why, although almost everyone of us can speak most wonderfully on spiritual life, but when it comes to practice we find ourselves so awfully deficient.  To quicken the spirit, the impulse must come from another soul.” Swami Vivekananda 

 The spiritual ascension energies are still very strong and moving things quickly. The recent and ongoing earth changes are physical evidence of this and you may take them as metaphors for the internal changes you are experiencing. You may feel as if the ground is moving under your feet with things changing so quickly and the ‘old’ not being the stable place it once was. Things may be obscured, making it hard to discern where to go and what to do next, and may also make you feel somewhat invisible.

 All of this is creating a scenario in which the only way to navigate is via the heart. The heart knows and has it reasons and intentions. Just the other day I was responding to a  somewhat challenging situation involving a loved one with absolutely no resistance, from a place of pure love. Later that day I expressed to my husband how organically aligned that position and that reality was for me, and how much it defied what ‘conventional wisdom’ or ego would tell me to do in such a situation. For me it flowed naturally and unobstructed. Following the path of what feels good to the heart is such a gift to myself!

For me and for many others, the old path may not be completely obliterated, but is disappearing gradually. And at the same time the new path has not totally emerged from the mist of ‘not knowing’, making it challenging for us to know where to step next. Being led by Spirit is the only way to proceed and that can only happen with a deeply connected heart informing your next move.

It takes a brave soul to embrace the vulnerability and human unknowing that living from the heart entails, but once the ego has been diminished by the challenges that you have faced and traveled through on your awakening journey, the heart becomes a sweet resting place, vulnerable or not. And in fact, its vulnerability becomes a gemstone in your crown of consciousness, a treasure to be appreciated.

Having a spiritual teacher, coach, mentor during these times is crucial. Someone who has already integrated what you need to learn next can inspire and transmit wisdom and direction compassionately and  powerfully which will move you more into your heart and out of ego-driven fear and uncertainty.

Perhaps your current challenges, aka ” invitations to higher consciousness”, are showing up around relationship, or business, or health, or finances, or family. Wherever they are making themselves felt, you can be certain that this is perfect, given the issues you hold from your past that are ready to be released, dissolved and transmuted into more love and light at this time.

Ascension energies are strong, resisting only invites suffering, uncertainty creates fear. So remember your capacity for courage, peace and knowing. And please, please, please, walk holding hands with someone who knows a bit more than you about the way forward and higher, just like you learned in Kindergarten.
